Wildlife in the Netherlands doesn't have the large variety of Africa, but the animals that live here are beautiful and very interesting. Wild Pigs, the fragile Roe Deers, majestic Red Deers, foxes, badgers and many more can be found.

A lot of people get disappointed after visiting a wildlife area because they don't see any animals, but it is very hard to find them because of the low numbers in the Netherlands. Another reason is that wildlife areas are pretty small and there is always a lot of pressure on the animals due to human activities. Therefore the animals hide most of the day, prefering areas that are prohibited for people. The best chance you have is in the early morning hours, and only then when you behave very quietly.
